Our Mission

Press on Missions exists to train and equip leadership to evangelize and disciple students through youth camps and other effective youth ministry methods that honor and exalt Jesus.

Primary Goal

  • Establish an evangelistic youth camp vision among local church and Baptist Convention leaders.
  • Assist local Christian leaders in conducting an evangelistic youth camp to reach lost youth in their communities.
  • Share the Gospel in clear and authentic ways.
  • Share God’s powerful and timeless truths to strengthen and encourage Christian youth.

Secondary Goal

  • Sharing effective youth ministry methods with local youth ministry leadership.
  • Assist local youth ministry leadership in developing an effective philosophy of youth ministry
  • Providing resources for local youth ministry leadership.
  • Encouraging local youth ministry leadership.
  • Communicating God′s truths with youth ministry leadership and students.

Meet Our Team

Rick Collins - POM

Rick Collins

President of Press On Missions

Rick Collins is the President of Press On Missions (POM), a non-profit ministry he established in 2007. He has been employed full-time by POM since 2018. Prior to his work with POM, Rick served as a camp consultant for International Commission from 2009 to 2017. He has extensive experience in youth ministry, having served for 24 years as a Youth Minister in the local church and over 2 years as a Leadership Pastor in New Mexico.

Rick has a strong background in missions work. He has been involved in establishing evangelistic youth camps (E-Camps) with POM teams in various countries including Cuba, Brazil, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Chile, and Bolivia since 2004. He has also led POM Youth Ministry leadership events in Cuba and Costa Rica. In addition, Rick has a history of training and equipping students for mission work from 1985 to 2005.

Apart from his missions work, Rick has held leadership positions in various camps. He served as the GHCA Camp Director from 1990 to 2005, the Colorado Baptist State Youth Camp Director from 1987 to 1989, and the GHCA Recreation Director from 1983 to 1989.

Kit Collins - Board Member

Board Member

Kit Collins is a board member of Press On Missions (POM). Currently, Kit works in the banking industry in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area. He holds a degree in Finance from Baylor University. Kit played a crucial role in securing POM’s 501c3 non-profit status.

In terms of mission experience, Kit has served as the point leader and director for POM’s E-Camp projects in Cuba. He also served as the POM recreation director for E-Camps in both Cuba and Brazil. During his youth, Kit participated in mission trips through his youth group. Currently, Kit serves as the mission coordinator for his “life group” at the church he attends.

In the realm of camp ministry, Kit has experience as the assistant recreation director for his church’s preteen camp, serving in that role for four years. He has also been actively involved in attending youth camps during his middle and high school years (7th-12th grade).

Larry Daigle - Board Member

Larry Daigle is a board member of Press on Missions. Currently, he serves as the Youth Minister at Mims Baptist Church in Conroe, Texas, a position he has held since 2019. He is also the VP of the Area Strategy Team over Africa from 2013 to 2019, working with the International Commission. Larry has nine years of experience as a Youth Minister in various local churches in Texas.

In terms of camp ministry, Larry has been the Assistant Camp Director for GHCA (exact organization not specified) since 2007. He has provided leadership for youth and preteen camps both during his college years and beyond. Larry’s involvement with camp ministry dates back to his high school days when he was saved at a Christian youth camp.

Larry has a considerable amount of mission experience. He has been instrumental in establishing evangelistic youth camps (E-Camps) in both Cuba and Brazil. Additionally, he has participated in and led youth groups on mission trips. As a Youth Minister, Larry has been actively involved in mission work, both as a teenager himself and by involving his youth groups in mission work.

Charles Hill - Board Memeber

Charles Hill is a board member of Press on Missions. Currently, he serves as the Senior Pastor at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Whitehouse, Texas, a position he has held since April 2020. Charles has extensive experience in camp ministry, having served as the Camp Director at Camp Chaparral Baptist Encampment from 2012 to March 2020. Prior to that, he served at Green Country Baptist Assembly from March 2007 to 2011 and as the GHCA Camp Director in 2006. In 2005, Charles served as the Assistant Camp Director at GHCA.

In terms of mission experience, Charles played a role in establishing evangelistic youth camps (E-Camps) in Cuba. He has also served on Press On Missions (POM) teams conducting ministry leadership events in Cuba. Additionally, Charles has been involved in leading youth groups on mission trips.

Charles’s own spiritual journey was redirected during his time as a student at camp, which had a significant impact on his life and led him to where he is today.

Britt Jeffcoat

Board Member

Britt Jeffcoat is a board member of Press On Missions. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1996. Britt holds a Masters of Accounting degree earned in 1994, as well as a B.S.B.A. in Finance obtained in 1993.

Professionally, Britt serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a private equity-backed national healthcare provider. He has extensive experience in financial roles, including serving in financial capacities for multiple non-profit organizations. Britt has specifically held the position of Treasurer for the Care Net Pregnancy Center of Albuquerque. Additionally, he has been involved with the Finance Committee of FBC (First Baptist Church) of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Furthermore, Britt has been ordained as a Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, demonstrating his commitment and involvement within his faith community.

Rick Justice - Board Member

Rick Justice serves as an Instructor of History and Philosophy at Ranger College.  He has served full-time in this role since 2022, where he has abundant opportunities to interact with international students from around the world.  Rick has been teaching History, Bible, and Theology for nearly twenty years.  Rick also served for 29 years as a Senior Pastor bringing extensive experience in leadership.  Prior to joining the Board at Press On Missions, he served two years as the Chairman of the Board for Good Samaritan Ministries, a non-profit charged with meeting the needs of the disadvantaged in Central Texas.  He also serves on the Board of Heart of Texas Camp.

In terms of camp experience, Rick has served as the Director of Preteen Camps in the Brownwood area for ten years, and he also Helped to start a Student Leadership camp in Central Texas.  He also served as a Recreation Director for a youth camp program at Camp Chaparral for over five years.

In the realm of missions, he played an active role in establishing evangelistic youth camps (E-Camps) in both Cuba and Bolivia.  He served as the point leader and director for an E-Camp that their church established in Bolivia.  Furthermore, he served on Press On Missions (POM) teams conducting ministry leadership events in Cuba.  His mission experience reflects his dedication to spreading the message of faith and engaging in outreach efforts around the world.

COLBY TIMBERLAKE - Board Member

Collby Timberlake

Board Member

Collby Timberlake serves as a board member for Press On Missions who currently works in sales in the Houston area. He is a graduate of Sam Houston State University.

Collby has a significant amount of mission experience. He served as the point leader and director for Press On Missions (POM) E-Camp projects in Cuba. He also served as the POM recreation director for E-Camps in Cuba. Furthermore, he took on the role of director for his church’s E-camp mission project in Columbia. Collby’s involvement in mission trips began during his youth group years and continued into adulthood.

In terms of camp ministry, Collby served as a small group leader at preteen camps during his high school years and at youth camps during his college years. Additionally, he has been actively involved in attending youth camps from 7th to 12th grade, which has contributed to his overall camp ministry experience.
